Just like Amtrak, they allow service and therapy animals to travel with their owners, but they do not allow emotional service pets as there is no legal requirement for them to do so.
Are animals allowed on Greyhound?
Greyhound is strict about the animals it allows on its buses. With the exception of certified service dogs, animals of any species are not permitted on any Greyhound bus, either in the cabin with the passengers or below the bus in the storage compartments.
Does Greyhound check for warrants?
Yes, you can buy a greyhound ticket, they do not check for warrants. But if you do not get that warrant matter cleared up, you will be asking the same type of question over and over again about getting married, renewing your ID or DL, etc.
Does greyhound look in your bags?
There is not much security at a Greyhound Bus terminal, nor do they usually ask for identification. The “security,” however, was not a full bag search such as we see in American airports. It was (and I believe still is) use of a metal detector or wand over passengers and their carry-on bags.
Do any bus companies allow dogs?
Small dogs in carriers are allowed on the buses and trains. Pets must remain in the carrier, with no possibility that the pet can escape. Both small and large dogs are allowed on the subway, buses, and streetcars. Pets must be on a leash or in a carrier.
